As a follow up to yesterday’s blog post on incomes and income inequality, this headline caught my eye today: Income Inequality Gap Widened to Record Highs in 2019. Go give it a read but here’s the main takeaway from the article:
The bottom line: Real incomes for the top 10% grew by $13,519 in a single year. Real median household income has grown by roughly the same amount — $14,377 — since 1978.
Sure we will break another record once the 2020 chapter is closed and the studies are in on it.
